The SAFTherm STDR-960-12A annealing furnace was manufactured in 2024 in China by Henan Sante Furnace Technology Co., Ltd. The machine is designed for annealing steel at a maximum temperature of 850°C. Steel annealing is one of the heat treatment processes aimed at reducing internal stresses generated during the hardening process. This process involves heating the steel to a specific temperature below the eutectoid transformation temperature, maintaining it for a certain period, and controlled cooling. As a result, the steel exhibits increased resistance to cracking and higher impact toughness.
The SAFTherm STDR-960-12A is a low-vacuum furnace designed for operation in a controlled atmosphere. It features a large working chamber with dimensions of 800 x 1200 x 1000 mm, allowing for the processing of both individual parts and larger batches. The working chamber is equipped with high-quality thermal insulation, which reduces heat loss and stabilizes the temperature during operation. The system is completed by an intuitive SHIMADEN SRS10 controller, responsible for precise temperature control and programming the parameters of the annealing process. The SAFTherm STDR steel annealing furnace weighs 1100 kg.
