For sale is a FiberFlow F50 cooling die (year of manufacture 2024) from DIL Engineering GmbH, a specially developed solution for structuring alternative proteins in high-moisture extrusion (HME). The FiberFlow F50 is designed specifically for research and development (R&D) applications, product development, and pilot trials. With a throughput of up to 50 kg/h, it is ideal for developing and optimizing formulations and processes in the field of alternative proteins, for example, for plant-based or hybrid meat and fish alternatives. By precisely cooling the extrudate, fibrous and meat-like product structures can be created.

The system has a modular design and can be configured with one or two segments, depending on the requirements. In addition, one or two separate cooling circuits are available, which ensures precise temperature control and, consequently, consistently high product quality. The integration of inline measuring systems is possible and allows for continuous process monitoring and optimization.
Particular emphasis was placed on hygienic design, ensuring that the system meets the high requirements of the food industry. Due to the well-thought-out design, cleaning is simple and fast, which is a major advantage, especially in development operations.

The FiberFlow F50 can be combined with a wide range of different extruder types and manufacturers. If required, a customer-specific adapter can be manufactured for the mechanical connection to the respective extruder (offered individually depending on the existing extruder).
