Suction regulator
The suction regulator is mounted directly on the screw compressor. It regulates the volume flow of air drawn in by the screw compressor through the suction filter.

Operating principle of the suction regulator:
The suction regulator has only one main valve. This valve operates
as a stepless control valve as well as a tightly closing shut-off valve. In full-load operation, the suction cross-section is fully open with minimal pressure drop. In part-load operation, the suction cross-section is automatically regulated by
limiting the stroke and adjusted to the actual air requirement. When the system is stopped, this valve quickly and automatically closes the entire suction cross-section completely.
The multiple functions of the regulator are initiated by only one control unit.
Minimum pressure retaining valve
The minimum pressure valve is located at the compressed air inlet of the air aftercooler.
It performs two functions:
1) As a pressure retaining valve, it prevents the pressure from dropping below a minimum overpressure of 4.5 bar when there is no back pressure. This pressure is necessary to ensure the oil supply to the compressor. At the same time, this minimum overpressure is required for good oil separation.
2) As a check valve, it prevents the backflow of compressed air from the compressed air network or the pressure vessel into the compressor system. This allows the separator vessel to be completely relieved when the system is shut down.
The valve operates automatically. Adjustment of the minimum pressure valve may only be carried out by personnel authorized by the manufacturer!
Suction air filter
The suction air filter is installed in the housing and connected to the suction regulator via a ventilation hose. The
micro-dry filter with a fineness of 10 μm is used to filter the suction air. The filter can be cleaned several times before it needs to be replaced. Use only original replacement filters!
