The DGPL is a pneumatic cylinder without a piston rod and with integrated guidance. Compressed air drives the slide back and forth along the long guide rail. The 750 indicates a stroke of 750 mm, and the 18 indicates the size/piston diameter class.
Typical applications include positioning, moving, or feeding workpieces in machines and automation systems.

• DGPL = pneumatic linear drive without a piston rod with integrated guidance. In this version, it is a ball bearing guide.
• 18 = piston diameter 18 mm.
• 750 = in your specifically labeled unit, 750 mm stroke. According to Festo, the series can generally be configured with strokes from 10 to 1800 mm.
• PPV = pneumatic end-of-stroke cushioning, adjustable on both sides. The slide is thus pneumatically braked shortly before its end positions; Festo specifies a damping length of 16 mm here.
• A = version with position detection/proximity switches; in this series, sensors can detect the position or end positions of the piston.
• KF = ball bearing guide (in contrast, for example, to GF, which is a slide guide). It ensures precise and robust guidance of the slide.
• B = variant/series identifier of the DGPL version.

Important data for your drive
It is double-acting, meaning it is actively moved in both directions with compressed air. The permissible operating pressure is 2–8 bar. At 6 bar, Festo specifies a theoretical force of 153 N in both directions – approximately equivalent to the weight of 15.6 kg, although the actually usable force is lower. The pneumatic connections are M5. Permissible ambient temperature: -10 to +60 °C.
The two compressed air connections drive the internal piston. The piston is mechanically connected to the slide, which runs on the outside, via the longitudinal slot. This provides 750 mm of linear movement without a 750 mm long piston rod, which would have to extend an additional distance out of the cylinder.
