The Thermo Scientific ClearVue Coverslipper is an automated, high-throughput system designed to streamline slide preparation in pathology and histology laboratories. It is engineered to deliver high-quality, consistent results with minimal manual intervention
Key Features and Performance
- High Throughput: The system can process up to 250 slides per hour. It can handle up to 11 slide baskets simultaneously through a load-on-demand system.

- Specimen Recognition: The system automatically identifies the type of slide preparation (histology vs. cytology) and adjusts the mountant volume.
- Stainer Compatibility: It is compatible with various slide stainers, including:Thermo Scientific Varistain Gemini ES and 24-4.
- Sakura Tissue-Tek DRS 2000 series.
- Leica Auto-Stainer.
- Pre-loaded Hoppers: The system uses pre-filled coverslip hoppers (holding 500–575 slips) to reduce glass handling and prevent contamination or fingerprints.
- Optical Recognition: Sensors ensure proper slide positioning. The system uses vacuum and pressure to mount the cover glass accurately without bubbles
