Further information on the pallet racking crossbeam:
Crossbeam type 4 BST is used to insert chipboard, steel panels, or similar materials, which then end up approximately flush with the top edge of the racking crossbeams.

This prevents any height loss; furthermore, the front of the step crossbeam protects the floors or the insertion segments from damage.

The crossbeams are not intended for pallet storage, but rather as picking levels; i.e., for storing boxes, small parts, or similar items.
