ibg NDT Technology eddyrobot Modular Sample Test System

The ibg eddyrobot is a modular, semi-automatic system for eddy current crack and grinder burn detection. Equipped with the eddyvisor C and supporting up to four interchangeable ET probes, it delivers industrial-grade accuracy and flexibility. Its compact and mobile design makes it ideal for use on production floors, in laboratories, or for standalone inspection tasks.

Key safety features include an electromechanical lock and emergency stop to ensure operator protection. The user-friendly interface enables straightforward operation, while the integrated ibg eddyvisor C with differential crack test probe provides precise and reliable inspection results. The system also features a flexible probe station that stores up to four ET probes, allowing for automatic probe changes via the robotic arm.

At the core of the system is a Mecademic Meca 500 six-axis industrial robot featuring ±5 µm repeatability, ensuring consistent and repeatable test procedures. The entire unit is managed by a Beckhoff PLC. For mobility, the eddyrobot is mounted on 100 mm rubber wheels (two of which are lockable), and includes a handle and corner protection. Its compact footprint allows easy passage through standard doorways.
