The AxiChrom line is a series of chromatography columns by GE Healthcare (now Cytiva), designed for preparative / process chromatography scale. The “50/300” refers to the diameter and tube length / “bed height” configuration. Key details:
50/300: This is the smallest of the larger-scale columns. The “50” refers to the internal diameter (ID) of the column tube (50 mm), and “300” refers to the bed height (300 mm) for the “short” version. There is also a “50/500” for longer bed heights (500 mm).
