Bosch TFA 242

The Bosch TFA 242 is a fully automatic thermoforming, filling, and sealing machine (FFS) designed for aseptic applications.

The system is primarily designed for filling and packaging coffee creamer into single-serving cups.

Technical data and performance characteristics:

Capacity: The production output is 30,000 to 33,000 units per hour.

Dosing: Set to a nominal volume of 10 ml (due to the design, a filling range of 6 to 12 grams is possible).

Dimensions: The forming area (V) is 160 mm with a material width of 234 mm.

Connection values: 400 V / 50 Hz / 3 phases.

Materials: All parts in contact with the product are made of stainless steel.

Process flow and scope of delivery: The aseptic filling process takes place under germ-free conditions via an integrated sterilization station. The scope of delivery for the system includes the central control panel, the sterilization and thermoforming unit, the connecting conveyor belts, and a downstream tube packaging machine (flow wrapper) for final packaging.

Continuous H₂O₂ disinfection of the upper and lower film directly before processing to prevent re-contamination.

Sterile air forming process: Deep drawing in the encapsulated sterile tunnel using microfiltered compressed air.

Overpressure encapsulation: Constant laminar flow overpressure in the filling and sealing area prevents the ingress of unsterile ambient air.

Hermetic sealing: Thermal welding of the lid film takes place completely within the sterile zone before ejection.
